“Fifth Avenue’s highest-perched penthouse has just sold for $11.5 million”

Btw is this building ever gonna turn on a lighting scheme?

Somehow $11.5 million doesn’t seem that high for the penthouse, said the jaded New Yorker…

Who turned ALL of the lights off? Not gonna lie I always wished they turned construction lighting off overnight to save money and electricity, but that’s a strange look. Maybe preparation to show off the decorative lighting?

Definitely looks ominous.

top of the roc really does have the best views

Yeah, and it’s a shame they try to squeeze more tourist $$ by taking up half the deck with those ridiculous lift gimmick rides

I love that view! While I’ve been inside Rockefeller Center several times over the years, it’s been over a decade since I last saw the view up top at night! Maybe this belongs in the vintage skyline thread at this point!

Sidewalks are partially opened

The 5th Ave sidewalk, has actually been open for some time now, since late April, but the 43rd St sidewalk is not open still, you’re still walking on the street on that side.

Didn’t want to post these because they’re basically the same as what was posted above, but I went through the trouble of taking them so why not.

We have a limited number of local people that go out and do the work of capturing our changing skyline from the ground and up in the air. It’s very considerate to be thinking of this forum when you’re out and about. If you made the effort, post em. Complainers are free to scroll past.

Side note: I can’t get over how gorgeous and timeless this building is. KPF really knocked it out of the park.
