It’s jarring seeing what looks like an art deco building under construction today. But it’s a fantastic design, and even though it’s just over 1,000 feet it’s a great addition. Great job KPF

Only in New York City is “even though it’s only over just a 1,000 feet” seen as discouraging. No other city like it.

First time in a while I sense a general consensus that a building is a really good piece of architecture. I’ll add to the applause.

Another banger by KPF and Von Klemperer, it sort of complements their nearby One Vanderbilt in a blocky way.

Photo by Michael Young from a while back.

  • it’s also very fitting to the buildings around it and their setbacks. Great one.

Yes it’s a great counterpart to 500 Fifth Ave which is also Art Deco by the same architects as the ESB. It’s super contextual in its design.

When will this be complete?

June 2026 I believe

Some sources suggest that phased occupancy begins this year (but the full completion is in 2026)

I took all these photos for Alubuild and shot/edited the video on their page/website :folded_hands:t2:. I didn’t require credits in our agreement but just wanted to mention it lol.

How will they do window washing?

By a BMU, the BMU just hasn’t been installed yet.

If I’m not mistaken, R&R Scaffold already installed their BMU on the roof. That’s what they told me. When I was there in April, it had not been installed yet.
