YOOOOO!!!
next Supertall
Per: JNKenynes SSP
If this has condos and a hotel above the office portion, it could easily be over 1,500’ tall.
I knew you would eventually post that here, and while I have no disrespect to how Robert got to that conclusion, that’s not how buildings work, this having condos and a hotel would not be justification for this to somehow be 1500’.
One Vanderbilt’s highest floor included in its FAR calculations is around 1030’, since we know that this project is being purported to have mixed use with a hotel and probable inclusion of apartments, those areas would be shorter in F:F height than the office floors which are also purported that there will be more of than hotel and apartment floors. This projects having those 2 elements would not “easily” make it 100’ taller than One Vanderbilt when it itself has 370’ of height not included in height taken from its FAR.
I will post something soon on my metlife north project. The roof height is 1,500 feet exactly.
Can a user please stop always mentioning a height of so and so many feet. There will be a new tower here, with mixed use.
You, I can explain it to you…

@Mackensen there’s a language/cultural barrier with him, sometimes it’s difficult to grasp certain rules and policy on forums with those who aren’t understanding.
Don’t care if he’s from Mars. 90% of what he posts is annoying nonsense.

Would it be possible to return to the original topic “45 East 45th Street” thank you.
If this topic is triggered any further, I will temporarily close it until new information is published.

Thanks TKDV for mentioning me.
I’m waiting for news…
Bye Bye Roosevelt Hotel
I love The Roosevelt and would prefer for it to stay. Obviously, that won’t occur.
If this were a mix of office and condo, I wonder how tall it could be. 341-347 Madison will be 850’ tall. I would imagine that 850’ of office and 800’ of condos could easily be stacked upon each other.
1100 feet - 1250 feet
Better taller 1500 feet between 1600 feet
That’s a slightly odd comparison to make since 343 Madison Ave is not a full block building like this is. It’s a slightly flawed logic, but I get your general point.
A better comparison would with 731 Lexington Ave (Bloomberg Tower) because it is also a mixed use commercial/residential tower. It is 807’ to its roof and is smaller than the extent of this project by approx 350,000 sqft. But that would not get the building to 1650’. I think 007 is much more accurate in terms of saying 1100-1200’.
For me I’d say between 850-1400.
@TKDV if this ends up as a supertall, would it affect the views from the Summit right?
