Underground connections?

Lol—that’s the part I care least about.

There’s a possibility that the new development could have underground connections to the LIRR ESA like many other surrounding buildings already have or have designed for, but no discussions have ever been talked about it.

was for a future, another supertall.

It could be interesting to see what is planned here in the Grand Central Zone. Then One Vanderbilt could get a neighbour of the same height.

I hope it has the height taller than Steinway or even Central Park Tower

I would only see that happening if the site was fully residential, but its proposed mixed use so it wont have a slender outline in plan that would make it taller. Buildings seem to be less and less using decorative crown features that add height in NYC.

I’ll add again that One Vanderbilt’s zoned area (which this site has the same of) is only some 1100’ tall. The crown is what added height to it.

I’m off and was only here briefly, and read the info that this project already has a topic here.

Did you post that in the wrong thread?

Maybe, but it will be interesting to see what comes next. I’m hoping for a pure office tower with a striking spire. I don’t care about the height, just not a boring glass box.

Let’s see what the future brings, this is a very good location.

No more F+P, there a PLENTY of other talented firms that dont just copy and paste their own work over and over again and some people are starting to see that…

Apparently an RFP could also be published here in the coming months.

Perhaps Peebles could propose his Affirmation Tower here (he got the money together), only he would have to withdraw his offer on Site K to do so. And so the RFP (418 11th Ave.) could be pulled back one more time.

That’s not how RFPs work though, an entree being pulled out doesnt mean the RFP is cancelled/recalled just because one entree drops out. And groups can be in multiple RFPs at the same time.

I’m also sure during the duration of the developments her that an RFP was already possibly issued.
