DOB approves build at 42-60 Crescent Street as warehouse completely demolished

A bird’s eye view of 42-60 Crescent Street
We’ve got two bits of news for you on the 42-60 Crescent Street project.
The first is that the Department of Buildings formally approved plans for the 10 story building on May 28.1 According to the permit, there will be 44,006 square feet of residential space with 2,309 square feet of ground floor commercial space. The building will have 40 condominium units with apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms. Amenities will include a children’s center, gym, parking and a roofdeck.
The second bit of news has to do with the building that once inhabited the lot. Crews completely demolished that building earlier in the week, as you can see from the photo below. The project has kicked into warp speed ever since demolition permits were approved in late April.
