Adjmi seems to dabble in New Formalism, which never looks as good as his downtown industrial or Ladies Mile stuff. It just doesn’t look right in NYC. It’s more suited to warm places like Miami, LA, or Sao Paolo.

Look at Edward Durrell Stone’s stuff.

Nice idea, but the execution looks a little cheap. An interesting attempt to dress up a slender box regardless. At least it’s not a flat, reflective blue glass facade. You can sort of tell that Morris Adjmi used to work for Aldo Rossi.
