This building is taking so long. I wonder if the reason is that there’s a backlog of FDNY inspections?
If so, can’t the Republic of Türkiye pay the mayor to get on the fast-track list like they did with their tower on First Avenue?
Their currency is so devalued they can’t afford the bribe.

Weird grill work seems out of character with the rest of the building. But maybe it will work for me next time I’m in the area to take a look.
JMHO it’s jarring in person relative to the streetscape.
Not surprised by your reaction. I usually like good grillwork but this stuff is odder than anything I’ve ever seen. And I wouldn’t want to be looking out of windows through the metal.
