This is for me precisely the point of this building (the Four Seasons hotel). It shares the block with one of the most amazing buildings in New York City, and it has succeeded in not being an eyesore, but being dignified and elegant without trying to compete with its neighbour and also blending with the kind of style in the area.

This is now their flagship property because the other one in midtown still hasn’t opened since the pandemic.
Someone went on a walking tour this week lol
Great pics Springboss!
What could he be referencing?
-Ramsa
-Downtown NYC
-Billion dollar “epic development”
-Buildings, plural
Who is this pictured? Quite the tease!
I think he refers to his passion of buildings in general, not implying that this is a multi building project. That would mean its a prominent building that’s to come.
But… I will add… that 30 Park Place cost 450M. Even if you adjust it to inflation, it doesnt get anywhere near a billion. A single building of that cost would have to be huge, so it might be a couple..
Eklund being a broker, it’s possible “billion dollar” might be the anticipated total sales. 15 CPW had a total sales tally of around $2 billion within the first few years. 30 Park Place had a fraction of that.
In any case, should be interesting to see what eventually shows up. There aren’t too many available sites downtown. Maybe even 5WTC or 2WTC will get a redesign under Ramsa.
