These idiots rezoned their entire neighborhood to prevent significant developments, rendering Sutton Place a gated community within midtown where affordable housing will disappear and the current residents get to keep their views. They can do that, sure, but donāt let them ex post facto this tower.
City Council Member Ben Kallos, whose district covers much of Midtown East and the Upper East Side, told the New York Post that his office is going to file a motion to reargue a zoning exemption for Gamma Real Estateās 430 East 58th Street, using the UWS decision as a basis.

Weāll also have to knock down Trump World Tower. Same with 111 W 57, Carnegie Hall Tower, Citispire. All zoning lot merger āloopholesā. Letās just demolish half of Manhattan!
Thankfully, this court decision was shocking, and is extremely likely to be overturned. And the BSA isnāt gonna rule against itself.
