Haha. Would be fun but we have plenty. Including upcoming ones like the Bar on top of 350 Park. If you work at JPMorgan there are several terraces you can access.
Working on it…
@mcart It’s a bit out of scale, but it’s a general idea…
Amazing! Thanks guys.
Just wanted to give an update on what floor were on so far. The next floor is mechanical which is a huge height jump and we are about 5 floors after the mechanical floor from the first setback
I’m really glad to finally see the official renderings. This skyline will look incredible with this, 175 Park Ave, and hopefully 350 Park ave. I hope the building will look exactly like the it rendering and if not, better.
This guy hugh says this about 270 Park: “This is the Marvel Universe aesthetic” as a negative. Yeah, I see it as a glaring positive! It means that New York is getting away from the frankly overplayed Sex and the City look!
I honestly love the fact that out of the top 10 tallest buildings in the city, 8 of them were built in the past 10 years. With 270 and 175 Park coming, both the Bank of America Tower and Empire State Building will be close to be pushed off the top 10 tallest buildings in the city. There’s no doubt about it that New York is being transformed.
I would love to see the MetLife North Building completed to its original vision that way we’ve got an Art-Deco icon at that southern exposure. Maybe tack on a crown and spire for good measure.
That’s a great idea and I wonder why thats not already in the works. Especially since other towers around it are rising. That location is primo.
I don’t know if the current zoning would even allow it to be built at the proposed height and size.
Then it’s simple: Change the zoning. @F.Wright I invite you to contribute to the following thread. Since I don’t want to take away from this project because it’s so good, I won’t say anything further.
Not a huge fan of how prominent the Jamie diamonds are, but it was to be expected. The N/S axis will be the best viewpoint.
This was posted on another page, so I drew around so you can see the massings of the future buildings.
It’s going to look pretty chonky around those parts in a few years. The Yale Club will likely be the only prewar building left once all is said and done.

Ofc you have the nay sayers talking negative about this building. These people act like working in the office scene is dead when tech and financial firms are either calling workers back, building new offices, or expanding their footprint.
They even said that the design is boring
All I can say is they’re building for the future as midtown vacancies are very high right now.

Yesterday was a momentous day for @jpmorgan as they officially unveiled the plans for their new HQ located at 270 Park Avenue in New York City. Banker Steel will provide 95,000 tons of fabricated steel that our subsidiary NYC Constructors will erect.
And don’t you worry, we plan on selling it for 4x the usual price and our subsidiary will sell the labor for double the price and put twice as many workers as needed on site to drive up the price. Just a normal day in NYC construction
