What part of this is the new skyscraper?
Should be all of it since they finished demo’ing all the above ground stuff.
Had never noticed the 47/48 street steel structure would be slightly curved.
Originally it was going to be blocky, but the faces where the beams are split now curve in to the top

WOW
but grand hyatt is still taller
structure type: crane
Wow!! Good news!
minus 56 for grade. but yeah, a beast
Are you saying that this, in fact, will be almost 1,600’ tall?
Are you confirming that the building height is 1,562 feet (minus 56 from the crane height), or am I misunderstanding?
crane boom tip height is what the FAA would be studying.
So will the height of this building be around 1,600’?
no, the height of the crane will be up to 1,600 feet. As far as anyone has seen, the height of the building itself remains unchanged.
Thanks
So, just a quick recap, 1618 feet is the height of the building + the max height of the crane + 56’ grade? Is that correct? I believe that would put actual building height roughly just above Vanderbilt’s spire.
