From the Graduate, a good vantage point to appreciate the city lights

Big update for this one, sorry for the amount.

There is a single interior light on the conference floor portion of tier 4 that has just been on by itself for several days.

They are very sporadically testing the lights everywhere and it’s actually sort of annoying, the cove lights on the N/S faces that do go the full length of the building are being tested all randomly, similar condition to the E/W diamonds.

The closest the diamond lighting will be to the street. They will have to frequently clean the metal panels otherwise the light will illuminate the dirt accumulation as is occurring right now since the metal panels have not been cleaned, it’s not very pretty.

They’ve started capping the nodes on the fan columns at the tabletop, they look sort of messy/there’s too many joints.

Base/lobby progress is full steam ahead, the interior of the lobby looks maybe already 90% complete, Railing are being installed, the turnstiles have already been installed, the doors and revolvers have been installed. The glass needs a really really good cleaning, the Park Ave side anyways, it basically looks frosted because of how dirty it is. They’ve started building another sidewalk shed leading to the main entrance on Park Ave and another one angling off 47th/Madison, probably in anticipation of workers starting to occupy the building before it is fully completed. No new updates regarding the stone walls.

You can partially see it in the distance on the Park Ave entrance head on photo, but the expansive granite plaza has already been paved (a majority of it atleast). Photos from April for reference of the color.

When I was making rounds in April they had also made significant progress on the Madison Ave POPS, the planter shapes were very distinguishable as well as the ramps and stairs leading to that building entrance. So I imagine even more progress has been made on that side, I didn’t walk by that side today though.

There seems to be a bit of red and a small section lit green if you look extremely closely.

yeah, I wondered if anyone was going to notice that. I don’t think it’s a reflection either

Yeah you can see the different rgbw colors in my photo of that random instance as well, but we already know the lights at the lantern are programmable to the rgbw spectrum from a previous render.

270’s lit red and purple tonight. The top diamond is also partially lit.

Also looks like they fixed the east-facing side of CPT’s lighting. It’s bright.

Maybe they saw 270 and didn’t wanna get overshadowed lol

Was just having a look at the Summit OV cam and noticed some of the strip lights flickering. This is why we test things, I suppose; I hope they sort it out!

Looks like a single strip of lighting on the very top of the building. You can also see the diamond lighting in the side

Gotham!

A great thing about all these new skyscrapers is that they’re obstructing/minimizing 432 Park Avenue from many angles. Once 350 Park rises it’ll be tremendous.
