It may be a slight difference in the angle on that particular panel—these panels change tone a lot depending on the light conditions.

in this picture one of them looks almost silver

I noticed some of the stone has gaps. Both sides have this feature.

Magnificent. 270’s lighting is going to be absolutely epic. I can’t wait to see the diamonds on the sides lit.

The direct lighting actually looks alittle “too” bright, though that may just be due to the distortion of light on the live cam, probably isnt that bright, but im hoping the indirect lighting on the E/W faces is much softer since it should be.

Still, seeing it on the actually building now, Idk how I feel about where/how the direct lighting just sort of randomly starts above midway up the tower. I would’ve changed the starting relation.

Beautiful!! :star_struck: While I’m unsure of the brightness of those LEDs in person, it reminds me a lot of the First National Bank building here in Dallas that (despite having similar vertical LEDs) doesn’t appear to be too bright!

One of my favorite buildings in Dallas. However, sometimes I wish that the Renaissance Tower and First National Bank Building change colors for special occasions as the rest of the Dallas Skyline does.

Rather have that than the joke that is most lighting displays in NYC

New York City doesn’t need lighting displays. That’s for cities who are trying to get attention. New York City has the greatest skyline in the world. Maybe not the tallest anymore, but such a wide variety of styles, and history, and new, modern buildings too.

NYC doesn’t need anything lol. It looks good and that’s all the justification I need

From the renders I thought it would be more of a yellowish color (unless it is because the Chrysler building lights look very white in the pic too)

Either way this is going to look so good at night

It seems to be a test of the lighting which explains why it’s starting in the middle.

Also, the brightness is perfect and won’t get drowned out and rendered invisible by the office lighting (3 WTC and The Spiral suffer from this). Let it be NYC’s answer to the Bank of China building in Hong Kong.
