Could it be possible that another tower could soon be built at 250 Park Avenue, as is speculated at SSP? Because JPMorgan Chase needs more space.
I wish they’d consider 2 WTC. Get that puppy off the ground and rising.
The space they would need would be just the right amount to get it off the ground.
250 Park Avenue could also very well use a redevelopment.
I would be very happy with 800 feet on this site.
Midtown already has enough supertalls (but it could use more), but Lower Manhattan has a void now screaming to be filled. 2 World Trade Center has to rise, and best to get that started this year
I doubt JP Morgan Chase wants to be downtown. They prefer midtown and may want to be near their soon to be completed trophy tower.
The transit options are better in Midtown.
Are they? I’ve lived downtown, and the transit options there are stellar. All the subway lines converge there, you have PATH at WTC, and you can get to either Penn station or Grand Central in just a few minutes on an express subway line. There’s even the Wall Street ferry stop, if that counts.
Midtown is the better transit option if you live in the. suburbs.
Right. It eliminates the need to transfer to the subway to get to your destination. Downtown is great for people that live in Brooklyn or near PATH in NJ.
Ok, I will admit it, this pic gave me Chicago vibes
Good point.
„ This photo showcases the raising of the last column placed at 270 Park Avenue, JPMorgan Chase’s headquarters. Banker Steel fabricated and NYC Constructors erected 94,000 tons of structural steel for the project.“
IMO this looks strange. When the still to be installed metal pieces on the sloping beams are put up it may seem even more odd. I hope whatever is hung from the stone modifies the appearance a bit.
.
Seriously. Imagine if they had sourced the stone from Arizona.
