Beast mode.
Okay this time I’m not drunk and will post the right tower and we have facade galore with 270 Park, Not One Vandy but 270 Park!
Coming out great. Skyscraper award winner in the making.

I thought that one crane was to be taken down after completion of the 3rd setback.
it will stick around until it gets bound by the building at its current heght, then it will go away,
I expect they will do something similar to one vanderbilt where the last crane went from being and internal jumper to an external climber. then a derrick will take the last one down
Nice crisp edge detected. Surprisingly, the north side seems to have passed the south side in facade progress. This is going to look really nice once it’s cleaned, because it’s really dirty.
Lots of progress on the base, all the fan columns are fire proofed now (besides those behind the main construction elevator).
Structure for one of the canopy overhangs on 47th St has also been built.
Work has also started on the 48th St roadbed (in the background and to the right).
I’m slightly confused about what’s going on on the east setback, it looks like it’s gone up one level more than it’s western counter part so they are not mirrored anymore. It appears like it has a lot of temporary bracing steel so hopefully the addition is temporary and is only something being done in regards to the removal of the western crane. It also doesn’t have the mid-band of galvanized steel around it like the main 3 part “stem” does. Seems like it won’t become clear until the safety cocoon and the netting moves up past it.
Great update and photo set
Me too.
Yes, the good old days and when 175 Park Ave. is completed then the MetLife will only be in the shadows.
If that was me on the bike, I’d probally be distracted by the skyline, hit the rail and fall into the water. 262 5th can also been seen.
