It’s genuinely shocking how small MetLife looks in those photos.
Yea and the Chrysler Building is all but lost to the density.
And that’s why in the past I greatly worried about the views from JC, and now my nightmare has come true. We were all worried about the buildings to the south of the ESB being too tall and blocking the ESB, yet they’ve diminished Chrysler. If you go to the Ellipse Tower pier in JC, you can see the whole crown of Chrysler just next to the ESB, which I believe I posted on this forum last month. I have this fear for Philly too, as my favorite skyscraper in the world (One Liberty Place) will soon be completely blocked from the iconic South Street Bridge view. But I ain’t no NIMBY, I do love to see the growth
Just a little sketch to show some history and the possible future. The recent tier took three months to construct, and of course the next ones are shorter with taller floors (meaning less floors on top too). I believe its possible that the next tier will take two months to construct, then the last tier could take the same amount of time or slightly shorter. This should be topped by January OR even February
Nice to see a taller building with massive bulk.
How will 1 Liberty Place be blocked? What’s going up that will block its view there? It is a nice tower btw.
One that I wouldn’t be scared to go up in.
Walked by today and they’ve made quite a bit of progress on the framing for the glass to be included on the lobby exterior. Is there any possibility they would start adding the glass before the building tops out? I thought that kinda of stuff tends to happen last
Stiched together from this EarthCam when it does its daily alignment test at 5:04 PM ET. I like capturing when it does this test because the camera pulls out slightly for a wider field of view before it sweeps.
Good observation.
Already reached the 2nd of the mech floors.
270 park avenue is coming together
And welcome to Brady!
That’s a cool vid! Really shows off a lot of stuff we don’t get to see with these buildings under construction!
