Thats the Hudson facing side, as far as I recall, that side always had rectangular windows. There was an older render that showed that side pre-redesign but I can no longer find it.

Ground floor exterior really looks like crap.
Why is the metallic exterior being put up in strips? Have they always applied it like this?
That’s foil faced mineral wool insulation, its not the PV panels.

I don’t think it’s a bad building; I just think it’s in the wrong place. In a different setting, it could have worked.

I know this has been asked previously, but I’ve forgotten the answer: are the mechanical vents on the north and south sides finished or is there still work to be done to make them somewhat less hideous?
I’m pretty sure I know the answer, but thought I’d ask anyway. Glutton for punishment/disappointment, I guess!
I think the answer is still open ended to be honest/fair. Render have shown another layer “covering” them, and upon close inspection there are attachments for another layer to be added on. But why they are taking so long to be covered and whether they do end up being covered is to be seen.
It’s a similar question with whether the circumference of the portholes will remain all jagged because of the crinkled foil or if a frame will be put on them. Both seem bad to be frank.

That’s a much better answer than I was expecting! I doubt it will turn out well in the end, but I’m happy to hear there’s at least some reason for hope.
