I can’t for this junk to be gone.

I can’t wait for this garbage to come down. This is one of the worst blocks in Midtown.

Vornado’s buildings

Chetrit’s buildings right next to Vornado’s.

Here’s what the $10M-$20M NYC investment sales market looked like last week

Chetrit and Cornell add to West 34th Street assemblage; A.D. Real Estate buy East Village rental building

By Kyna Doles

1.) Joseph Chetrit’s Chetrit Group and Shifra Hager’s Cornell Realty Management purchased one of the final parcels needed to complete an assemblage of retail buildings along West 34th Street in Midtown. The developers acquired 257 West 34th Street from Aldad & Sons Realty for $18.3 million, and plan to redevelop the site at 251-263 West 34th Street as new retail. The four-story building was home to several eating establishments and a nail salon. Last month, Cornell and Chetrit purchased the Wendy’s at 259 West 34th Street and the Bag Man store at 261-263 West 34th Street. The developers paid a combined $61 million for the three adjacent buildings at 251-255 West 34th Street last year, but still need 249 West 34th Street to complete the assemblage. The building at 257 West 34th Street last traded hands in 1995, records show. - See more at: Investment Sales | Cornell Realty Management | Chetrit Group

This is the POS that Chetrit just acquired.

This junk can’t come down soon enough!

The east end of this block is quite nice

On The next block to the east is the venerable Macy’s

Chetrit is starting demo of the buildings on the west side of the assemblage. I guess he’s waiting to evict Wendy’s before he razes that one and BagMan.

Everything to the east of BagMan is owned by Vornado.

Good news. This is one of the dumpiest blocks in Midtown!

I agree. It seems that Vornado is still trying to get a little POS on the 8th Ave side of its assemblage. It’s occupied by a cash for gold store, and it’s situated between the corner property on 8th and 34th and the building with Famiglua Pizza.

The filthy, rancid Wendy’s has closed!!!

Chetrit owns the BagMan and Wendy’s. Hopefully, those pieces of Sh…it will be shrouded in Demo netting soon.

Lots being demo’d here! Chetrit’s hotel will be at 243-255 West 34th Street, and Cornell’s retail project will be at 257-263 West 34th Street. That still leaves no. 265, 267, and the TGI Fridays building on the corner (and other cruddy buildings on Eight Ave.)

The TGI building and the two little ones to the east are all owned by Virnado.

Vornado also owns the Sbarro builfing on 8th. I assume that it’s trying to acquire the smaller building on 8th between TGI and Sbarro.

Badically the entire block west of 7-11 is coming down.

I can’t wait until Bagman and The old Wendy’s come down.

Vornado owns the three buildings next to Chetrit’s site. They also will redevelop this junk.

I just like this.

Demo permits were filed for the BagMan (261 W 34th St) and for the old Wendy’s (259) on March 16th, yet no work is proceeding there yet.

The other junk has largely come down.

Week of July 8th

Other than the junk which is coming down, this part of W 34th St is quite nice.

I would not be surprised if Chetrit flips this site to Vornado.
