Good details and construction quality - the balconies look like an afterthought

This is probably the best photo I’ve seen of this project:

Vaguely McGraw Hill.

Great lobby -

This is actually quite nice on many levels. I Hope the designers, builders & developers get credit for building something that really requires a bit of discernment to fully appreciate.

BTW -YIMBY forum regulars are quite discerning.

The Vitruvian Triad: usefulness, beauty, solidity. This rates well on the ‘solidity’ attribute: the facade seems really substantial. There is the cinder block wall sections sandwiched between the concrete floor/ceiling slabs, then waterproof membrane, and all topped off with those hefty solid terracotta panels. This may be more typical than I am aware: but looks like very good construction detailing on that facade.

The ‘beauty’ factor is there too - understated but quite a handsome refined design. This one truly rates the coveted accolade - Capital A Architecture. :star_struck:

Excerpt from the Above posted NY YIMBY feature article/photos -
crews were in the process of installing the floor-to-ceiling windows within the recently constructed frame of cinderblock walls. Since then, the exterior has been covered with a blue waterproof membrane and the first sections of terracotta façade paneling have begun to be put in place across the podium and lower floors… end quote.

Well done…
