15 years later, the trees have grown nicely.

In a way, this is a milestone as this is the first time there’s been any sort of vertical change on the site (outside of cranes) since it went dormant 15 years ago! 
It’s STILL sort of mind-blowing that there are actual progress photos nowadays vs the occasional speculations and new renders that would make me excited to see 15 new posts here but no actual progress

In the latest photo, what are they putting up? Is it scaffolding?
yes, i think its access so they can start to install the gang forms for the core construction.
More protective wooden scaffolding planks put in place, core expected to go up very soon.
I should add its probably also protection for all of that duct and MEP equipment.
As I understand all of that helps run the oculus air systems and will end up being on a mechanical floor in tower 2. After they build part of the building and install new equipment they will cut over to that new system and then remove the old equipment underneath.
What is happening there?
