Do my eyes deceive me or is the top office floor in 2 WTC lower than the top office floor in 3 WTC? I can’t tell. The floor count is driving me nuts also. I get its higher floor to ceiling space in this tower but having “55” floors in 2 WTC but 80 floors in 3 WTC and 72 floors in 4 WTC just throws everything off in my brain. I know it’s a silly thing to fret about but

Well and given they stopped lighting 3wtc podium columns i wouldn’t be shocked if they start with lights being there and then they stop within a year or so

It seems like you’re comparing marketing floors to actual and/or leasable floor counts. 3 WTC has 68 actual floors (including mech) minus the roof and above, and 4 WTC has 63 floors (including mech) minus the roof and above.
2 WTC has 56 floors (including mech) minus the roof (first roof) and above. While the counts are still oddly different between the 3, looking past the small amount of floors compared to the others, the real reason it has less floors while being taller outside of having high F:F heights is that it has alot of mech space making up the height (IE: 270 Park).

With how long it’s taken to even get to this point, I can only hope this gets built as-is as there’s already been enough value engineering done to the entire WTC site 
If they remove the lighting on the fins, it’ll probably get lost spotting from afar once the crown lighting stops getting regular updates

Yes, yes you’re right my mind for some reason always goes to the marketable numbers vs actual floor numbers. Tower 2 having a lower floor count than 3 & 4 just irks me a bit!

It shows the lower wide angle shot of the whole site similar to the one on the WTC site with the final design included
But based on the clouds and lighting it’s an alternative shot. I wish they captured it from the top of the Brookfield Place tower like the 2006 and 2015 renderings

An awesome milestone, following progress from across the pond since, well pretty much since the 9/11 collapse and then the announcement they were going to rebuild it.
Now it’s up to WTC5, a tower that already could’ve been underway, but I think adding that affordable housing element ruined it. Could be years, unless someone with enormous subsidy sees profit in building it.

AI+photoshop were used to (visibly) reduce the gap between T1 to T3 (2WFC inches closer to Gateway Plaza and 1WFC in the recent version), and the byproduct of all of this - is 2WTC appearing larger than it is?
