I can imagine cool animations playing on the ceiling:
LO_RES LED
I mean even the little sample showing in the news piece video really looked great so I’d imagine it will do a lot in activating the space, the bettering of the MSG entrances will also do a lot to engage the space.
Because the screen covers such a large space/area and is on a different plane than screens one would normally see, it will actually look fairly hi-res.
Yes, from afar It will have a hi-res feel, and, as you get closer, it will feel lo-res. Really cool
Some of the renders of 15 Penn show the same low-res LEDs under the cantilevers at the base. If they make it into the final design then this stretch of 7th Avenue will look quite trippy and futuristic with these dramatic LED displays on both sides of the street.

Exterior work has been dragging along. I wonder if they only have a small team working on the facade.
I wonder what tearing down and replacing 2 Penn would mean for the rest of MSG & Penn Station, it seems like a piecemeal approach to a bigger project.
Where do you see an indication that 2 penn would be torn down?
There is none. This repositioning will extend its lifespan by at least 20 if not 40 years. I have no idea where some of these people get their ideas from, they live in parallel universes from ours I guess.
It does seem to be going remarkably slow.
It seems like they have the ability to program the lights to be brighter or dimmer. I can’t wait until the skirt cladding goes on to hide the MEP stuff. I like the blue color, I wonder what it looks like in just straight white.
The dimmed modes actually look quite nice. It’d be really cool if it is dim during the day and brightens up at night.
