That’s true. That’s what I’ve been saying. NYS/NYC officials are terrified of the Dolans.

I rarely watch live TV but I happened to flip to this channel when they were airing this story. Lots of good renderings and walkthroughs of this renovation and the surrounding area/development.
Nice walk-through indeed
That’s definitely a nice catch, @the726 there’s the answer to the LED ceiling, there’s sample pieces in the video, and it’s definitely much better than what was tested physically on site. But they aren’t as dense as an LED screen, just a dense array of bulbs.
Just can’t wait to see this project completed. It’s a welcomed and wonderful change.
I can’t wait to see this finished, it’s going to look amazing!
Of course, I’ll have to revamp my old One Penn Plaza cosplay, and see if I can find a partner willing to do 2 Penn ![]()
Is that necessary?
I agree with Robert
Is the building right next to Penn 15 already there? Or a conceptual rendering?
The one to the left or right of it? Those are Vornado’s concept designs for Site’s 5 and 8. Site 4 is also visible to the left of Penn 1. But they’ve remained largely the same in appearance for as long as I can remember, but they’re still not official.
Yeah I meant the left one. Thx
Looks like it. Great pics!!
I worked in this area for 7 years, and I’m so happy to see all this projects moving on.
They “are” LEDs in the sense of the light type itself but just aren’t a screen like those in Times Square. But they should still appear like a screen, just not as dense.
It’s already looking so much brighter just with those few panels installed.
Yes, they work as lo-res LED screens. I really like their low tech feel. I’m looking forward to see how they will activate the space underneath the new addition.
