NEW YORK | 175 Park Avenue (Grand Hyatt) | 1,580 FT | 83 FLOORS

1,500 feet is still impressive and dominant for NYC, I’ll take it lol

They’d die for 1,575’ in Chicago.

They would hold parades for this tower in any other city in a first world nation.

This would be the 2nd tallest tower in Dubai and 2nd tallest tower in Hong Kong.

This tower is pretty much The Gherkin and The Shard stacked on top of each other.

The world capital!

You could take any 2 towers in La Defense and stack them and they still wouldn’t be as tall as 175 Park Avenue.

I agree, Lion. The fact of the matter is that Chicago can’t even get Related’s 875’ tower at 400 N. Lakeshore off the ground.

Further, all of these crap US cities do backflips if they build a 200’ office tower that sits on top of a 150’ parking podium.

Chicago is for Midwestern tourists. A fine city, and one I love, because I love America.

But NYC is the crown jewel of the modern world and for the ELITE.

The absolute epicenter of real estate, finance, business, fashion, and media- and the tech sector has grown exponentially.

I will hopefully be alive when NYC has 100 supertalls. There is no end in sight for NYC’s dominance.

Now if you just had a decent airport and modern efficient transportation to and from said airport…

Hilarious. Are you one of these delusional jokers who suggests that Cowtown is in New York’s league?

Huh, have you seen the construction going on in the City lately. JFK is getting a huge revamped and we have a new Laguardia airport. NYC is getting a new Port Authority Bus Terminal very soon and Penn Station is getting redone and is on the drawing board at the same time. A lot of things are happening in NYC!!!

Not at all. Just cowtown’s airport.

Comical.

Correct. Same with Amanda Burden and the Tower Verre / MoMA Tower. It was a gesture to partly appease the NIMBYs.

Is that a fan rendering or official? If that’s how the crown is really going to look, I’ll be very pleased. The flat top as depicted in those early diagrams would have been a real missed opportunity.

Yeah, it does actually look like an official one, and it looks stunning!
