Note: 110,203 buildable square feet; something to keep our eyes on. Might become something large for the area.
Another Brooklyn gas station may bite the dust. In Crown Heights, Massey Knakal is marketing a BP station on Bedford between Lincoln and Eastern Parkway as a development site, according to Real Estate Weekly.
The 110,200-square-foot corner site at 1525 Bedford Avenue, also known as 1519 Bedford Avenue, has 500 square feet of frontage and offers 110,203 buildable square feet. A potential developer could get an additional 34,201 square feet by including affordable housing.
Although there isn’t an asking price, “industry sources” tell REW the property could fetch up to $30,000,000. The sellers, a family that’s owned the property since 2002, think a buyer could build a mixed-use building that would house workers for tech companies, creatives and nonprofits.
