This beautiful tower does not have a thread of its own. 1214 Fifth is the tallest building on the Upper East Side currently, nestled between 101st and 102nd. Surprisingly, the tallest tower on the UES is closer to uptown than downtown. This tower will no longer be the tallest, however, as 1233 York Avenue (if approved) will take its spot. Permits filed in 2009. I don’t know when construction completed.
