I can see how one might confuse two very tall and skinny buildings but I don’t get how anyone can conflate Park Avenue with Central Park. Cool photo though…

Huh. An updated Curbed article says it was actually some scaffolding that broke free due to high winds, not an elevator as NYPD initially said.
I remember seeing the renders for this and thinking the waves in the facade were just artistic liberty with shadows - trying to make the tower reminiscent of black and white Art Deco pictures. The fact that the waves are truly part of the facade is absolutely stunning.
This tower is an absolute masterpiece.
