NEW YORK | 100 Franklin St | FT | 8 FLOORS

Chused, glad you got to see this work of art being built. I don’t know the details; but the Developer is actually being wildly criticized by many members of the local community for apparently failing to meet some ‘community give-back’ agreement.

I believe the developer agreed to build a ‘public plaza’ nearby as a concession for various project approvals that were required by the local community board to complete the project. I am sketchy on the particulars; but the claims by his many local detractors are easily found by searching on-line.

As the saying goes: no good deed goes unpunished. In other words - “damed if you do, damed if you don’t”.

Using that narrow corner for the bathroom/shower was a perfect fit: and good utilization of an odd, otherwise unusable space. This is a ‘total’ design solution; exterior and interior design both well done.

Still one of my favorite developments on tiny lots.
