The MTA is looking to purchase (either via negotiations with the property owners or, failing that, via eminent domain) certain lots in New Rochelle to support its project to run Metro North regional trains between New Rochelle and Pennsylvania Station.

I’m about attend the Town Hall public hearing as a member of the public. Hoping to be a YIMBY presence but admittedly not well prepared  Hope the resistance to this project isn’t too strong.

Oh no, they adjourned the item until the December meeting. I guess I’ll be back next month …

Here’s another project being heard at the meeting:

Application PB 22-2025 by Lucio Di Leo, R.A., AIA, Studio RAI, Architectural Design P.C. tor site plan approval to construct a new three-story multi-family dwelling with 22 units at 343 Mayflower Avenue (Block 1504, Lot 32) in an RMF-0.5 & R2-7.0 zoned district.

Update: for that project (PB 22-2025) site plan approval was granted with conditions.
