The Brickell twin-tower megaproject known as 1 Southside Park is now going through the approval process with Miami-Dade County after it was submitted over the summer.
Brooklyn’s Shop Architects is designing the project. Shop is also the architect for the Miami Innovation District.
1 Southside Park will include two 60-story towers rising 780 feet, along with a rebuild of both a Fire Station on the site and Southside Park.
The project will include:
- 32,000 square feet of governmental uses: the new City Fire House No. 4.
- A “world class hotel” with 200 rooms, with accompanying amenity spaces.
- 200,000 square feet of office space
- 11,000 square feet of commercial / food and beverage spaces
- 1,175 residential units
- 100,000 square feet of health and wellness uses
- Up to 1,000 parking spaces
James Corner Field Operations of New York will design landscape for both the project itself and the rebuild of Southside Park.
