Developer Submits Plans For Massive World Trade Center Of The Americas On Biscayne Boulevard

PMG, meet your new neighbor.

A developer has submitted plans to build a glassy 77-story tower called World Trade Center Of The Americas at 340 Biscayne Boulevard. At it’s highest point, the tower would reach a height of 953-feet, making it one of the tallest in Miami.

The proposed tower is being designed to maximize as-of-right entitlements permitted under the zoning code. The mixed-use tower uses exactly 1,439,352 square feet of FLR – the maximum permitted, without wasting a single square foot.

At the bottom of the tower will be lobby and retail space, with a 516 space parking garage and 52 bicycle spots.

Levels 16 through 23 consist of office space. In total, 246,529 square feet of office space is planned.

Next, a ten-floor hotel will start at floor 27, with 100 rooms.

The remainder of the tower, from floor 37 to 76, is dedicated to residential space. There are 400 units planned.

The property sits on Biscyane Boulevard directly in front of the Empire World Towers site, recently purchased by PMG. A Holiday Inn is currently on the site and would be demolished.

ITC Center Miami, LLC and BH Downtown Miami, LLC are the companies that submitted the proposal. Both companies list Regalia Sunny Isles developer Louis Montello as a Registered Agent.

Representatives of the developer are now working with city officials to get the plan approved, with a hearing before the UDRB scheduled for next week.

Arquitectonica is the project architect.

New York has nice buildings, but recently Miami is killing it. So many beautiful designs. Lets hope all these plans come to be

I agree. Miami is up and coming. Its quite a force when it comes to new projects. Some of the designs lately have been stellar.

I love Miami, but I think its architecture sucks. For its signature tower, this is essentially a lame box like 50 HY.

But for the Museum Tower by Zaha, Miami’s new towers have nothing of the caliber of Verre, Steinway, 1 Vanderbilt, 30 HY, 10 HY, Gehrey, 56 Leonard, etc.

World Trade Center of The Americas Resubmitted To FAA At 980 Feet

World Trade Center of The Americas is requesting approval again from the Federal Aviation Administration for a building height of nearly 1000 feet.

The project is slated to replace a Holiday Inn at 340 Biscayne Boulevard. It is sometimes called ITC Miami.

In 2015, Regalia Developers Inc. obtained FAA approval for a tower to be built at 969 feet above ground, or 980 feet above sea level. Extensions were applied for in 2017 and again in August 2018, but the FAA told Regalia that only one extension is permitted, and a new application would be required.

On August 17, Regalia applied for a new approval at exactly the same height as approved in 2015 – 980 feet above ground. Review is underway.

The project site is next door to the 94-story Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences project, which is approved at 1,049 feet above ground.

World Trade Center of the Americas is approved by the city as a 77-story tower with 400 residential units, 100 hotel rooms, 246,529 square feet of office space, and 516 parking spaces. Arquitectonica is the architect.
