That first photo is old. 501 Summit Ave has now blocked that view of these three towers!

This project way better than One Journal Sq

A sign appeared for a Korean BBQ restaurant on the ground floor

It’s just the beginning. Many more towers on the way.

Bury the power lines!

PSEG won’t allow it. Similar problem with ConEd in parts of Greenpoint and LIC.

Here is the utility companies’ reasoning, from a report submitted to NYC a few years ago:

That’s a lot of words to say “we don’t wanna pay for it”

Didn’t know this! Agree it reads as a lot of bs. Road salt? Goes into storm drains, which is not where they put these lines. Heat waves? Can they name one heat wave that caused a power failure because of underground wires… anywhere? And somehow I don’t remember them tearing up all the underground wires in Lower Manhattan after Sandy… hmmm

Same problem in Calif and the fires are destroying everything.

You found the angle with the best massing. :+1:

This glorious view is about to be blocked by yet another high-rise :enraged_face::enraged_face: (sarcasm)
