Very good news. Hope thereâs a groundbreaking for Tower 3 before Christmas.
They sold out in 4 months? Thatâs insanely fast I think.
I doubt there will be a groundbreaking anytime soon. The whole area is a giant paved plaza. Perhaps in the spring?
There was a quote in Crains NY, I believe? Something about anticipating breaking ground on third tower before end of year.
I remember seeing the ad for the building on Market StreetâŚin Philadelphia. And I saw it on multiple websites, they advertised it like crazy
Theyâre breaking ground on Tower 3 next week. Mayor Fulop will be there for the groundbreaking.
Also, KRE is considering developing additional sites in Journal Square, so Tower 3 probably isnât the end of their expansion in the area. I suspect additional large towers are going to be added to their portfolio in the coming years.
Iâd really love Urby on the other side of Summit to get started
But thanks for the info! Thatâs really great news for the local area.
KRE Group is set to break ground for its third of it Journal Square apartment towers in Journal Square.
Mayor Steve Fulop will do the honors at a ceremony next week marking the completion of Journal Squared Tower 2 and the start of Journal Squared 3.
Phase III has begun, or at least theyâve had a groundbreaking ceremony for it. So far all theyâve done is put the fence around the site; they havenât even submittted permits for the actual project yet. So I think itâll be a couple of months before earnest construction begins?

I walked by this afternoon and there were some workers on site but no actual groundbreaking or equipment yet.
As we bid a fond farewell to the lumpy yardâŚ
They stared digging today for real. Various people in suits were on site (not politicians, presumably engineering/contracting higher-ups).
