Jersey City is on fire.
Every time I go back to the area, its like new surprises around the corner. The change has been… incredible.
If Fulop wins the governorship, I hope he can replicate what he did development wise in the city… but across the whole state. Lotta potential!
Its a good example of what happens when the city IS for development. When it is… good things happen and flower beds spring into whole forests.
I hope he gets elected and if he does do that, I wish him good luck. There are plenty of towns and some counties that are extremely NIMBY in this state and will do anything they can to stop development, especially affordable housing projects.
The biggest “arguments” I’ve seen are “its going to strain our infrastructure”, “our town can’t handle more people”, “more traffic will happen” and the age-old “destroying of town character” excuse. I’ve witnessed several of these arguments in the town I live in and it’s ridiculous.
