Assuming this is the final re-design, then it’s still pretty pleasant overall. The top half reminds me a little bit of 88 Regent (Liberty Harbor). I just wish they would’ve extended the “Lotus petals” detail up to the top of the structure to make the building even more striking along the JSQ skyline.
I like it. It kind of looks like a candy bar being unwrapped.
Next Planning Board meeting is tomorrow
It was approved 5-2.
Design could be better, but it’s not totally boring. Glad JC is getting another tall residential.
Why does it look like the PTAC units just end before the top of the tower?
It’s a lot easier to use alternative HVAC methods near the top of the building because the tubes for the coolant don’t have to travel as far to get to the mechanicals on the roof.
