Site has been mostly cleared of cicada debris and leveled out.

Construction equipment showed up this week on site including a drill. Looks like construction is about to start in earnest.

Saw active construction today - the drill was moving around the site.

A heavy crane showed up today and there’s a large pile of steel forms stacked up over what looks to be a drilling site. Maybe someone can explain what’s going on here as I’ve not seen this around town before

The stack of steel forms is used to test how much the soil subsides in response to heavy weight. It helps them compute how deep to drive the piles, how many piles to use, etc.

Thanks! Good to know. Guess it’s almost time for drilling / driving to start…I also noticed a sewer hookup permit was approved for this project on 7/13.

Nothing interesting picture-wise to post but it’s worth noting that there were 2 separate electrical hookup projects completed for this site - one connected the property to Grand St and the other connected Sussex St to the property
