It’s official: we are building what will be the second-tallest building in the world. My father, Mirwais Azizi, was recently invited to appear on BBC Persia, where he revealed our plans to build a new tower in Dubai which will share the skies with Burj Khalifa and other skyscrapers in the city. This will mark a breakthrough achievement for the Azizi brand, and we couldn’t be prouder, especially looking back at our humble origins in Afghanistan, when my father started the company with $500 in 1989.

Nice! This will be great to see!!

Based on these articles and the twitter tweet, there is a likely chance they’ll aim for surpassing not only Shanghai Tower, but also Merdeka 118 as the second tallest building the world. :sunglasses:

This would spark some competition between this and the Binghatti skyscraper!

Well, I’d be amazed if a megatall is finally not only proposed but built in New York. Dubai and skyscrapers this is not so my field of interest, because a skyscraper history like New York, Chicago and another U.S. city Dubai has not.

Dubai and New York are two of my most favorite cities. But yeah I agree, NYC has more skyscraper history than Dubai since NYC is much older. I do too, hope that a megatall would be proposed there as well :+1:

I would like to see a mega tall in NYC in midtown/downtown
