when will this become the tallest in texas?

Once it’s topped-off, as it’s probably around 950’-970’ Likely 3rd-tallest for now

From Urbannizer at SSP. Apparently they’ll soon start working on the crown.

This one is definitely a supertall now, and it’s safe to say that it has surpassed the JPMC Tower in Houston to become the tallest building in Texas now, regardless if its topped out or not (which it isnt, the height of the core formwork has just passed the 1002’ figure of the JPMC Tower).

Any work being done above the slab in the pics above is related to the crown, the slanted columns are already being formed.

Incredible progress (and great pic)!! I barely recognize the skyline from my first visit to Austin a decade ago! :exploding_head: If only Dallas got a new supertall! :frowning:

you would think Houston and Dallas would be building big instead of Austin

Houston and Dallas are both old money towns (oil/finance). Austin is where the new money is at. Not that Dallas and Houston aren’t still building.

There’s definitely been several new highrises in the past decade in Dallas, but nothing near the level of sprawling development that Austin has seen!
