Waterline from many vantage points has taken its lesson from the Empire State Building: Separate, willing to suffer a bit of height nearby, yet probably forever unencroachable.

With the insane growth in the past decade alone, I’d say it’s probably another 10-20 years tops before something taller gets built :cityscape_at_dusk:
