NHL team might change states due to difficulty in building a new arena.

Arizona no longer has an NHL team.
The Coyotes will move to SLC, but they will not take the “Coyotes” name with them. The sellers of the team will retain the option to start another team in Arizona if they get their arena built in the next five years. The Coyotes spent a few years playing in the Arizona State college hockey rink since they were kicked out of their Glendale arena.
The Utah NHL team will play at Delta Center, home to NBA’s Utah Jazz. This arena was not built with hockey in mind and will have the same sightline issues (where fans in certain seats can’t see the whole ice surface) that the Coyotes saw when they played in America West Center in Phoenix and that Islanders fans faced when their team played at Barclays Center before the move to Elmont.
