Next month there will be a groundbreaking for construction of the new eastern entrance of Crystal City metro station in Virginia.

The community is invited to join Arlington County at the ground breaking ceremony for the new east entrance to the Crystal City Metro Station. The ceremony will take place at the parking lot between 241 18th Street South and 1770 Crystal City Drive, and will feature remarks from a members of the Arlington County board and staff, and representatives from WMATA, the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT), and the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority.

The abandoned Marriott Hotel in Arlington, which has been occupied by squatters, will likely be torn down. There are no current plans to redevelop the site.
It’s a wonderful location a short walk from the Rosslyn metro station with beautiful views of the Potomac River and Washington DC.
