Today the Seattle Downtown Design Review Board will review the design of the project at 505 Madison St. that will total 750,000 square feet.
Based on the results of focus groups of office users, Schnitzer West redesigned the common areas of the building, said Steve Cook of Schnitzer West. The developer added more retail at the base of the building to activate pedestrian connections to the First Hill neighborhood just to the east, Cook said.

Demolition is occurring for the building standing in this lot. This, along with several towers in the city are currently in the demo stage. Expect to see steel rising for many of them in the months to come. 2015 will be a good year for Seattle.
