I think it’s important to preface this story. We don’t know what the final design will be. It may look similar to the renderings, or we may see a future redesign similar to 395 3rd Street where SCB was the architect of record and the initial boxy illustration made way for the distinct design by Henning Larsen Architect.
The main take-away of this story is that plans for the block have been reactivated. Woo!
New details about 655 4th Street, reduced in scale marginally given its impressive scale, relative to the rest of what is happening in the Bay Area. I’m very excited to see what the actually design by SCB will be!!!
