New tower proposed for Oakland. The developer hasn’t decided yet if they want to build housing or offices, so right now they’ve filed two separate applications for both options.

Truthfully, same. Much more pleasing balance of setbacks. It’s quite the shift from the original residential proposal, but this one seems likely to get built. Alas.

Yeah, I prefer it aesthetically but I also think it’s good to build as much dense residential as possible. Especially in downtown areas.
