Taken from the train?

That’s right by the Broad Street light rail station based on where it was taken. Platform if I had to estimate.

Correct, it is Broad Street from the regular train platform. Light rail is at street level (visible in foreground). Up top where the photo is taken is a former DL&W main line which is now served by the Morristown Line and Montclair-Boonton line of NJ Transit.

I took a walk around Newark yesterday. It’s looking a lot better.

Everything they’re building in Newark is good quality.

According to @newarknjblog the tower is halted. No facade work since mid-May along with no machinery on site. Someone commented that apparently they failed the inspection and have to replace the electrical system

Wow that is big.

Pic by me. Taken today.

That’s what I heard too. Apparently for the whole building too, which sucks.

I just hope this delay doesn’t hamper Phase II and III. I’d imagine it wouldn’t, considering demand is there for units.

Sad state of affairs when NJ is building the units to support NYC, when it should be the other way around. But for the sake of Jersey Strong, good! If Newark keeps up, in time it could go the way of Jersey City development wise. I mean when we think about the potential… it is there.

And Bayonne.

In general., more units are needed, really for NJ residents, as a lot of these new residents are NYC refugees fleeing the high prices.

At the most recent City Council meeting, it was announced there’s a new investor on board and that construction should be resuming again soon. Great news if true!

This will be an expensive retrofit.
