Kind of insane a massive area of parking lots and auto stores existed here for years. With the MLS stadium coming here, Citi Field here, and the potential casino coming here, this area should be littered with skyscrapers, I don’t think these new 10 story buildings are going to cut it.
That complaint should be referred to PANYNJ for purposes of amending the configuration of LGA runways.

Issue is its right by LGA so I am sure certain height restrictions apply. You can see low flying aircraft watching a Mets game at Citi Field.
I’ll take 10 story development that is close to transit over chop shops and parking lots.

they started cladding the two towers and putting up glass, and the stadium is still being dug out. passed by yesterday

You can see a bit of the building as well as the street being built out here in this picture from the 4th.
Looks like the foundation for the soccer stadium is also mostly complete.

Obviously this will fill in pretty soon and the neighborhood will develop. But God help the first people moving into these buildings, simultaneously in the middle of nowhere and construction everywhere
