im surprised to see a crawler crane up in this day and age in that part of midtown.

kind of a thing of the past, even though it will set up the tower crane to come.

My quick take on this project is NO WAY will the top of the building look anything like this rendering. I may be wrong; but if I am right - it will be nice when we finally see an accurate depiction of the final design.

Oh wow. I didn’t realize this was already above street level.

I think it would be interesting if they would integrate a modern take of 19th century style brick along the low-rise portion on 8th. Would make for great individual store fronts instead of just glass and metal panels.

e.g.

Would definitely show those 3 other buildings(hold outs) how its done.
