A global hedge fund is calling it quits and shutting down its Hudson Yards office.

Eisler Capital says it will begin laying off all 79 employees at Tishman Speyer’s Spiral building on Dec. 28 and turn off the lights for good at the site by March 31, according to a state layoff notice that appeared Thursday.

I think they have/had 24,000 sq ft, but sounds like they were degens who got burned on options the past six weeks. Not to worry; their space will be filled pretty quickly I bet.

Are there really any “residential units” as this page suggests?

The header is worded strangely but I would suppose they meant incorporating it into the overall neighborhood (a park, public spaces, residential, restaurants, offices) and not a description of the program of the building itself, which is just office, but I do believe there are groundfloor rentable spaces for restaurants potentially.

do you think they were degenerates?

Bad Reddit joke. I’m a pretty conservative investor (covered calls mostly) and even I’m way down the past month.
