They’ve poured another portion of underlayment to the west of the larger part they poured 2 weeks ago, in front of the stairs and stopped short of the ADA entrance. They’ve also continued to waterproof the west side plaza. There’s still a lot of work to do on the east side of the building as it relates to ground work. It’s still hard to tell if any base cladding has been installed on that side yet though.

I guess they’re on partial lighting mode… I really love the full glow @algonyc posted a few weeks ago… just exquisite.

I like that they have different sets of lighting configurations. We will call the one in Mackensen’s post “chill mode.”

I’m wondering if they have different colors for the lighting? That would definitely add some spontaneity.

Was scrolling LinkedIn today and saw they posted a job opening here at the PAC for Production Assistant/Payroll. The job descriptions states programming is starting in the second half of the year. So sounds like it’s on track to open around Summer time - 9/11 or so.

Chill mode looks very elegant. Reminds me of Lincoln Center.

For anyone who previously didn’t know, some of the panes on each panel are operable. Though they probably won’t be opened frequently or at all, probably just needed some ventilation.

I wonder if they intend to complete the west plaza and lessen the fence enclosure or are waiting to open everything at the same time as it looks like they are speedily working on the west plaza.

I didn’t expect this at all!

I had known this for some time due to seeing a detail drawing that I can’t find now, but had never actually seen them opened until now, but I don’t know if this is the first time this ability has been used or if panels have been opened before and I just didn’t catch them in the act. I’ll keep on looking for the drawing though.

These panes are either the 9th or 10th row and would coincide with the 1st and 2nd panes on the 3rd row of cladding panels, the 10th row of which is in line with the hvac ducts below the upper level of the building. So they may have temporarily opened them for hvac related purposes because they are closed again.

Thanks for those! I had been wondering how those areas were coming along. Those stone curb pieces look enormous!

I can’t believe this is almost done. I can’t believe all that will be left to finish on the main site in a few months will be 2 WTC. It’s been a loooooong road.

@StrongIsland…Good things come to those who wait.

This project has been moving quite swiftly. A lot of progress since my last visit two months ago. It’s coming along quite nicely as well. It’ll probably be nearly finished by my next visit.

Looks like base cladding on the east side is done since they took down the sheds. Only southern side to still finish.

Nice catch, I knew something appeared to be different on my screenshot 2 days ago, but I couldn’t tell, the shed was still being disassembled.

The camera angle does well to show how deep the pit is on the east side, a solid 4-5’.

I had also noticed the added some new bollards extending from 1wtc east plaza to almost the western corner of the PAC. Unfortunately all this cloudy weather makes it hard to see on the cam. Still hoping for a soft opening around march

I think those new bollard had been installed a few weeks ago, I noticed them as well back then but the camera quality (and weather as you mentioned) made it hard to discern if they were bollards because they looked oddly spaced due to everything interfering with them in view of the camera.

Just from that one could assume they do want to open the rest of the west plaza to open it up with One WTC east plaza. I hope they do, that will greatly open up that area. There’s still a lot of stuff to do but it’s clear that the west, front and back side are almost ready for paving to begin.
