If work on this completes before 2WTC restarts, wonā€™t it be the first time in this ~20 year stretch where there isnā€™t any active construction work being done on the WTC campus? Really strange to think about.

I really want 2 WTC to be started and finished before 2026, but that might just be optimism.

I hope 2 WTC is taller than the original. There is no reason why it canā€™t be.

Anything is possible but I doubt it. They seem intent on making it the same height as the original.
But if they do plan on going higher I want a megatall. Something like the liberty centre concept Iā€™ve seen thrown around would be cool. lol, thatā€™s a huge stretch though and I canā€™t see it happening.

5 will probably start soon since the financing is easier but I guess thatā€™s not truly a part of the campus

This isnā€™t exactly 2 WTC spot, but New York City should have a better, taller skyline than Shanghai (or any city in China)ā€¦ the buildings here are 1600, 2100, and 1500 feet!

Yeah that would be great. Problem is though that that kind of height is exceedingly expensive in NYC. For example the Burj Khalifa was built for around 1.5 billion dollars, if it had been built in NYC I could easily see it pass 8 or 9 billion. Donā€™t worry, one will eventually show up. Just have to wait for the right circumstances.
